Pit Crashers meet Chelsea Grin
Interview by Josue Zuniga

Pit Crashers: What are your hopes for the near future?
Chelsea Grin: Just writing. We have many plans and big tours in store. Just living the American dream.
Pit Crashers: If you guys were to describe your band in simple word choices, what would you say?
Chelsea Grin: Heavy. We do our best to have bouncy parts and really fuel the live performance.
Pit Crashers: What's been your most embarrassing experience while on tour?
Chelsea Grin: Multiple run ins with the cops. Saying stupid shit on stage.
Pit Crashers: What are your likes/dislikes about being on the road?
Chelsea Grin: Likes: Playing for the crowds who love our music.
Dislikes: Homesickness. And days when all we do is sit around.
Pit Crashers: How does it feel to be on the level you're on in the music business?
Chelsea Grin: A dream come true. We were just booked for Warped, that’s something we’ve been wanting for a while.
Pit Crashers: What prompted you to choose Chelsea Grin as a band name?
Chelsea Grin: All of us started writing and we decided that was the catchiest name for us. The meaning really got us. Just like movies like Green St. Hooligans and The Dark Night
Pit Crashers: What image do you think your music conveys?
Chelsea Grin: We’re always trying to keep the albums fresh and stick to the band’s roots.
Pit Crashers: How do you feel about the direction you took with My Damnation as opposed to Desolation of Eden or your EP?
Chelsea Grin: For My Damnation I just really like the concept of Heaven and Hell. Nothing religious, but I find it interesting.
Pit Crashers: What song that you've written holds the most meaning to you?
Chelsea Grin: Mostly the newer stuff. Mainly My Damnation and Everlasting Sleep. They’re like my babies.
Pit Crashers: Overall, what would you say is the major theme of My Damnation?
Chelsea Grin: A concept album about a man who has gone through Hell and must grasp the fact that he’s a demon now.
Pit Crashers: What places do you enjoy eating at whilst on tour?
Chelsea Grin: Taco Bell late at night. But Buffalo Wild Wings is the shit. We don’t have that up in Utah.
